John Akridge

John Akridge is the Co-Founder, Managing Partner, and CEO of Height Capital Markets. John co-founded Height in 2008. Under his leadership, the firm grew into one of Washington's top regulatory-focused investment banks for institutional investors and companies. Today, the firm provides investment analysis in key regulated sectors by integrating fundamental and policy research to better understand the financial impact of events across the capital structure. After building an outstanding research foundation, Height launched its Investment Banking and Advisory (IBA) group in 2014. Since then, IBA has raised hundreds of millions of dollars as growth equity for investment banking clients. Prior to Height, John served as Senior Vice President and Head of Arlington Sales Trading at FBR until 2008. He has more than 20 years of sales and trading experience and continues to maintain strong relationships with investor clients. John received his BS from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
