Junior Salesperson

Height Securities is an investment bank with headquarters in Washington, DC, that specializes in regulatory and policy research for institutional and corporate clients. Height is seeking individuals to join our sales and trading team. The ideal candidate:

– Has 1-3 years of professional experience
– Is a team-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, intense environment
– Has an understanding of the legislative and regulatory levers at work within Washington, DC
– Is highly organized and can quickly digest and succinctly summarize the work generated out of our research team
– Has excellent communication skills and enjoys interacting with a smart, driven client base

Preferable, but not necessary:

– Has current FINRA Series 7 and Series 65 licenses
– Possesses knowledge of the capital markets

Junior Salespeople will support Senior Salespeople in covering institutional asset managers and sell Height’s research and investment banking transactions as part of a closely-knit team.

The candidate will be tasked with passing the Series 7 and Series 65 within two months of the agreed start date if licenses are not current. Compensation packages are competitive and will be commensurate with experience.

Institutional Equity Trader, Associate

Height Securities is an investment bank with headquarters in Washington, DC, that specializes in regulatory and policy research for institutional and corporate clients. Height is seeking individuals to join our sales and trading division as a member of the trading team. The ideal candidate:

– Has at least 1-2 years of professional experience, preferably in institutional sales or in trading equities and options
– Already possess the applicable FINRA licenses, or is able to study and pass the applicable FINRA license examinations (Series 7, 65, and 55 or 57 licenses)
– Is a team-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, intense environment
– Has an understanding of trade execution and bookings
– Possesses knowledge of capital markets
– Is highly organized and can quickly digest and succinctly summarize the work generated out of our research team
– Has excellent communication skills and enjoys interacting with a smart, driven client base

Associate traders will work directly with and be able to learn from multiple senior salespeople and traders. The Associate will be responsible for executing trades, tracking client interactions, managing analytical resources, and supporting senior traders to ensure that institutional trading desks are properly covered. We expect the ideal candidate to take initiative, learn quickly, and work to build his/her own relationships with our trading counterparties.

Height Securities is an investment bank with headquarters in Washington, DC, that specializes in regulatory and policy research for institutional and corporate clients. Height is seeking an Junior Policy Analyst to join our Energy team. The ideal candidate:

– Thrives in a fast-paced, intense environment
– Wants to work extremely hard and learn from senior team members and managers
– Is just starting his or her career, or is a more seasoned veteran interested in shifting careers to market and policy analysis
– Is interested in learning about the energy industry through rigorous research
– Is a team-oriented individual who can take ownership of her or his work product
– Has above-average writing and communication skills which require minimal editing

Knowledge of the energy sector, energy policy, and capital markets, as well as experience running quantitative analyses helpful but not required. Diverse backgrounds encouraged and welcome.

The Junior Analyst will work directly for and learn from Height’s Senior Energy Analyst. The Junior Analyst will conduct open-source research, conduct quantitative analysis of energy markets, provide written qualitative updates and analysis, and attend hearings and events as necessary. This position is ideal for someone who has a very strong and independent work ethic, has a proven record of going above and beyond their job description to advance their prior organization’s goals, and is interested in strengthening their analytical skill set and become an expert in energy markets.

Associate Energy Policy Advisor

Height Securities is an investment bank with headquarters in Washington, DC, that specializes in regulatory and policy research for institutional and corporate clients. Height is seeking an Associate Analyst to join our Energy team. The ideal candidate:

– Has 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably on Capitol Hill or within an agency
– Has experience and knowledge of policies under FERC’s jurisdiction and / or renewable energy policy
– Comes with strong relationships in Washington’s policy and political communities
– Has an understanding of the legislative and regulatory levers at work in Washington that impact energy markets
– Possesses some knowledge of capital markets
– Can quickly digest and offer intelligent analysis of ongoing developments and new information
– Has above-average writing and communication skills which require minimal editing
– Is a team-oriented individual who can take ownership of their work product and is not afraid to offer a strong opinion
– Thrives in a fast-paced, intense environment

The Associate Analyst will work directly with and be able to learn from Height’s Senior Energy Analyst. The Associate will conduct open-source research, provide written policy updates and analysis, attend hearings and events, and eventually interact with clients on a regular basis. Associate Healthcare Policy Advisor

Height Securities is a Washington, DC-based investment bank that specializes in legislative and regulatory and policy research for investors and corporate clients. Height is seeking an Associate Policy Advisor to join our Healthcare team.

The Associate Policy Advisor will report directly to and advise Height’s Senior Healthcare Analyst. The Advisor will help develop and execute on a robust healthcare policy research agenda, conduct open-source primary and secondary research, draft brief (2-7 page) analytical reports and updates, and contribute to client presentations. This position is ideal for someone with a policy and political background who is intellectually curious and seeks professional growth and mentorship.

The ideal candidate:

– Has 3-5 years of professional experience on Capitol Hill, at HHS or another agency, or at a healthcare industry trade association or advocacy organization
– Has an interest in exploring the impact of healthcare policy on business and capital markets
– Is a fast learner with above-average research, writing, and communication skills
– Can monitor and quickly analyze ongoing developments and new information
– Understands and preferably has firsthand experience with the federal or state rulemaking process, especially     CMS and FDA rulemaking
– Is team-oriented and energized by fast-paced professional environments
